- Studying in France: the European exchange programmes Erasmus and Erasmus Mundus
Studying in France: enrol for a Master’s degree with the European ERASMUS MUNDUS programme Studying in France, enrol for a Master’s degree at the university as part of the ERASMUS MUNDUS exchange programme
Enrol in a Master’s degree as part of a European exchange or programme
During your degree course, you would like to spend a year studying in France without interrupting your education plan. You want your diploma or degree to be recognised in your own country: for this, choose a university that is partnered with your own university or take part in the European Erasmus Mundus programme.
How to enrol in a French higher education establishment?
The formalities may vary from one establishment to another, but the general procedure is similar and this is what you need to do:
1- Find out which universities are partnered with your own establishment and see which courses are available and of interest to you. You can also see what is on offer from a good number of French universities at Réseaux Campus de Campus France http://www.smeno.com/etudiants/etudier-en-france/inscription-master/reseaux-campus.html.
2- Fill in an enrolment dossier online or download it directly from the university site or else ask for it to be sent to you from the university in France.
3- Make sure your university signs the enrolment dossier if it is partner for the course you have selected.
On the practical side, if your studies are part of a partnership between your university and the one you will attend in France, you will remain enrolled in the university in your country.
The ERASMUS MUNDUS programme
Don’t forget the ERASMUS MUNDUS programme which is intended to promote European higher education in countries that are not part of the European Union. Your establishment may have partnership agreements with universities in France. If this is the case:
1. Explore the Erasmus Mundus Master’s degrees that are partnered with your university.
2- Fill in an enrolment dossier online or download the dossier directly from the university site or else ask for it to be sent to you from the university in France.
3. Make sure it is signed by your university.
